Welcome to 89 Posts
Located in the heart of Lodi, Ohio, our homestead, affectionately known as “89 Posts,” is dedicated to sustainable living and animal husbandry. With six acres of land, we pride ourselves on fostering a harmonious environment for our livestock while promoting responsible agricultural practices.
Nigerian Dwarf Goats: A Source of Quality Milk
One of the highlights of our farm is our collection of Nigerian Dwarf goats, cherished for their rich and creamy milk. These little goats are not just adorable; they play a crucial role in our homesteading model. With our commitment to non-pesticide usage, we ensure that their diet is organic and wholesome, contributing to the quality of milk our goats produce.
Dorper Sheep and Duroc Pigs: Sustainable Meat Production
In addition to goats, we raise Dorper sheep for their succulent lamb meat. Known for their efficiency in grazing and minimal maintenance needs, these sheep fit perfectly into our eco-friendly approach. Likewise, our Duroc pigs are raised with the utmost care, ensuring they lead happy lives before providing us with delicious ham meat. Both of these livestock types are integrated into our sustainable practices, maintaining balance and health in our homestead.
Commitment to Animal Welfare and the Environment
At 89 Posts, we believe in giving all our livestock the best life possible until their last day. This commitment is reflected in our daily routines and the love we pour into our farming practices. By prioritizing the well-being of our animals and the health of our crops, we are creating a model for homesteading that respects nature and fosters sustainability.
